Maybe you have recently had your fiftieth birthday? Maybe now you are merely patiently waiting for a few more years to pass so you can get your senior discounts on meals, movies, and more. However did you know that at fifty you may already qualify for senior housing in some areas of the country.
When did this happen? Well interestingly enough savvy housing developers saw the signs of an aging population and started building senior housing projects over the past twenty years or so. Since recent retirees have generally had a fair amount of money these are not necessarily low income, ultra affordable housing projects. It is a win win situation.
This has become a society where more is better and the expanse of consumerism has generated large split-level living in the suburbs so the race to move into smaller homes, apartments and condos has been slow.
